Paradigm Solutions International, Inc.,   Announces Contract with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to Implement a Bureau-wide Crisis/Incident Management System

GAITHERSBURG, MD—Dec. 12, 2006—Paradigm Solutions International, Inc. (PSI) is pleased to announce that the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has awarded a contract to use the OpsPlanner^TM emergency risk management tools to implement a Bureau-wide crisis/incident management system.  As part of the contract, which was awarded on September 22, 2006, BOP will purchase and utilize OpsPlanner, PSI’s web-based Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) emergency risk management software tool.  This solution will enhance BOP's ability to automate and streamline the contingency plan development and crisis/incident management process.  OpsPlanner includes full auditing capability, which facilitates post-event review and analysis.  The sale to the BOP was through PSI’s federal reseller, Paradigm Solutions Corporation (PSC).

Commenting on the award, Russell E. A component of the Department of Justice, the BOP's mission is to protect society by confining offenders in the controlled environments of prisons and community-based facilities that are safe, humane, cost-efficient, and appropriately secure, and that provide work and other self-improvement opportunities to assist offenders in becoming law-abiding citizens.  Today, the Bureau consists of more than 113 institutions, 6 regional offices, a Central Office (headquarters), 2 staff training centers, and 28 community corrections offices.  They are responsible for the custody and care of approximately 185,000 federal offenders.
